Metallica udgiver i 2015 en remastered, deluxe editions af både 'Kill 'Em All' og 'Ride The Lightning'.
Bandet efterlyser materiale fra perioden 1983-85. Alt fra billeder, videoklip, koncertbilletter, flyers m.m. kan sendes til bandet og vil (muligvis) fungere som baggrundsmateriale til udgivelserne.
We want it all! Did you manage to sneak a video camera into a show long before they fit in your pocket? Maybe your old instamatic camera for some snap shots? A cassette Walkman with a microphone? We’re looking for anything and everything... audio, video, photos, fliers, ticket stubs, the set list you picked up off the floor, and in general any mementos you may have from that around that time. Remember, we want everything (well, everything that’s yours)! Nothing is too small or too trivial... share your archives with your fellow fans and have some fun with us walking down memory lane. By submitting it, you’re saying we can use it should your piece of history land on a release (yes, the lawyers made us add this part!).
Endnu er der ikke nogle planer om en genudgivelse af "...And Justice for All". Et album som traditionelt har modtaget meget kritik for et dårligt mix, og hvor særligt Jason Newsteds bas forsvandt mellem guitar og trommer.
Derimod er der planer om en bogudgivelse i 2016 som skal markere at albummet "Master Of Puppets" fylder 30 år. Her er Metallica ligeledes interesseret i effekter fra fans.
