Ferocity udgiver single og musik video
Det aalborgensiske death metal band Ferocity, har netop offentliggjort deres første single og musik video fra det nye album “The Sovereign". Musik videoen til sangen "… And the Rest is Silence" er filmet på Aalborg Metal Festival 2012 af Emil Vinther Sørensen fra Emil Vinther Photography.
Ferocity har for nyligt skrevet kontakt med det amerikanske pladeselskab Deepsend Records, som også er hjem for prominente danske death metal bands som bl.a. Corpus Mortale, Spectral Mortuary og tidligere Dawn of Demise. Den musikalske stil er brutal og kompromisløs, men alligevel med en melodisk touch, som har været Ferocity’s varemærke i årevis. Med Nikolaj Kjærgaard på trommer som den nyeste tilføjelse til bandet, fokuserer Ferocity nu meget mere på grind og blast beats, end da de først startede. Hvor andre bands gå fra brutal til mere mainstream, har Ferocity gør det modsatte! Med inspiration fra både NY dødsmetal, svensk og polsk dødsmetal bands har Ferocity skaber deres helt egen stil…
Det nye album, "The Sovereign", vil udkomme igennem Deepsend Records til maj/juni 2013
Ferocity’s trommeslager Nikolaj Kjærgaard har givet følgende udtalelse om musik videoen og singlen “… And the Rest is Silence":
““...And the Rest is Silence" being our first single and the first track of the new album pretty much sets the style, atmosphere and expression of the album. It represents what the musical style of Ferocity has transformed into over the last couple of years. It has grind parts, a groovy chorus and melodic lead guitar. Three key elements which I think sums up what you could expect of the new album. The music video for “...And the Rest is Silence" is our first music video ever and was shot in our home town at a really great show. We think Emil Vinther did a great job shooting and editing the video, and it complements the dynamics of the music really well.“
